ILLUSTRATED NATURE
“A visual language for science”
Art and science are found in scientific illustrations, producing deeply captivating images even though they are drawings that are made following a highly codified language.
In this series we will discover what are the rules behind them and how they have been shaped throughout history in parallel with the discoveries and the evolution of the mentality of each epoch. And we will put ourselves in the shoes of some of today's illustrators, to understand how beauty and knowledge come together to reflect on the fascinating world around us.

KATALONSKI
“There are no strangers in this world, only friends you haven’t met yet.”
“Katalonski “means “Catalan” in Polish, also in Bulgarian, Bosnian, Belarus, Russian, Croatian and Serbian. We conceived this series in 2016 when we realized that there are 12,000 people not born in Catalonia who have learnt Catalan. From Sao Paulo to Beijing, from Iceland to Jerusalem... Many of them have never set foot in Catalonia but have a deep knowledge of our culture: learning Catalan has changed their lives. And they’ve done so for many various reasons: love, passion, curiosity, scientific interest, hunger for knowledge, chance, and butterfly effect… And they tell us about it in the series, presented by Halldor Mar, an Icelandic musician living in Barcelona. In each episode we travel to a different city to get to know and share happy moments with the “katalonskis” from around the world.

LOKUS DAY
“Because a day without laughing is a lost day”
Our friend Xavier Bertran (“Lo Cartanyà”) approached us with this crazy idea and we couldn’t turn it down. LOKUS DAY is a comedy program based on various sketches and characters that make up a fun, timeless, bold and distinct universe. It is conceived with a fixed team of actors (led by Xavier Bertran and Cesc Casanovas) who play several roles, those required by each of the pieces in every episode.
LOKUS DAY also wants to play with different TV formats and use them to add extra humour to the sketches. It features very diverse characters: from a depressed tarot reader to a team of unadventurous explorers, the world of Jedi mythology, the language of YouTubers and home-loving superheroes.
Written and directed by: Xavier Bertran
Executive producers: Marta Palacín and Oriol Gispert
Actors: Xavier Bertran, Cesc Casanovas, Beatriu Castelló, Emma Bassas, Karla Ramos and Gemma Inglés

SELFIEMATON
“Why don´t we bring back the program Videomaton Show that was such a benchmark of BTV?”
SELFIEMATON is the updating of that format. Back then people left video messages recorded in machines set up in the street. Now they can send what they want through their mobile phones. The result is an entertaining magazine program that listens to citizens and conveys it in a casual and ironic style. Hosted by the same creators and presenters of Videomatón Show, Imma Sust and Joan Spin.
Written, directed and presented by: Imma Sust and Joan Spin
Executive producer: Oriol Gispert
Duration: 60 minutes
Year: 2015
Broadcast: BTV

IF YOU GO TO HEAVEN ON A SCOOTER
“…make me a good place for me to go up there”
Another curious idea from Xavier Bertran, who in this case interviews people that are somehow connected with spirituality. Most of them are young people and none of them wears a robe or prays the Our Father before bed. Aside from the interview where we immerse ourselves in the world of the character we visit, there´s always a comedy side that motivates the meeting between interviewer and interviewee.

Executive producers: Marta Palacín and Oriol Gispert
Episodes: 13
Duration: 25 minutes per episode
Year: 2014
Broadcast: BTV

EXTREME CLIMATES
“We´ve been friends for a long time and we´ve never worked together. What could a meteorologist and a documentary maker do?”
Can you imagine what it’s like to live in Oymyakon in Siberia at 50 degrees below zero? How can people in Oklahoma USA live waiting for a tornado to rip apart their house? How can the inhabitants of Terranova in Canada see with nearly 200 days of fog every year? What are the people like in Quillagua in Chile’s Atacama Deserthaving never seen the rain?
We conceived this format where Meteorologist Mario Picazo leaves the TV studio behind to realise his big dream: to travel around the world to see and experience how people adapt to the phenomena of extreme climates.
